Start this tour at forecourt of Hyde Park Barracks in the Sydney CBD. You will walk through Hyde Park into The Domain, and then into The Royal Botanic Gardens.
For people with mobility issues or who use a wheelchair, there are a few detours that will need to be made in order to complete all the stops. In some cases, there is an access ramp adjacent to steps, but in others there is a significant detour to be made. In Hyde Park there are some benches for rest stops along the way, while in the Botanic Gardens there are also accessible toilets and some seating, There is an outdoor cafe at the Domain and also in the main Gardens, both of which are accessible. The beginning of the tour is adjacent to St James Station, which has an access ramp and lifts. At the end of the tour, you can continue to Macquarie Street or go towards Circular Quay to access public transport.
